PostHeaderIcon Green Tea Information That Might Benefit Your Health

Rated as the second highest drink consumed worldwide behind water, tea has been around since the Chinese discovered the process of brewing tea leaves over 4,000 years ago. They themselves realized some of its health related properties which are now being increasingly verified by scientific researchers today.

This article will briefly look at and discuss just a little of the green tea information that’s out there and the associated health claims. One such claim is that green tea can help those of us who are trying to lose weight. No one is saying drink green tea and you will lose weight as things are not as simple as that. Good medical advice and proper guidance must be obtained whenever any of us consider embarking on a diet plan.

What green tea is supposed to do is to increase our bodies metabolic rate. This is how fast we burn those calories we get from our daily diet and by drinking green tea this rate increases. This result is achieved through its antioxidant properties and is sometimes referred to as fat oxidization. Certain controlled studies have backed up such claims bit it’s important to add that following a healthy and sensible diet, plus a degree of exercise are far more important.

What I also discovered when looking at green tea information was its use with acne sufferers as its not an uncommon condition also these days. By applying it to the skin its soothing, healing and exfoliation properties have been found to make a difference. One way to do this I found out is to make a green tea ’soother’ from freshly-brewed, quality green tea made with mineral or spring water. Once boiled, the tea is left for about 20 minutes before being transfered into another container for cooling down. Once cool enough to the touch it’s then dabbed onto the acne blemished areas.

One other surprising thing I found was that I could get green tea extracts already within a nutritional supplement, which made certain I was getting the associated health benefits without having to brew several cups of water a day. For those of you who prefer this route make sure you choose  a quality made, naturally derived product with enteric coating.

PostHeaderIcon Does iced green tea have same health benefits as hot green tea?

Do the health benefits of green tea change if I chose to make iced green tea? I’d like to start drinking homemade iced green tea with lemon (no sugar) more often.

Iced drinks make your body work harder, because it has to restore the body temperature back to normal range, in addition to digesting whatever you have consumed. Therefore it is best to consume green tea at close to body temperature, if you want to have the optimum health benefit. Iced green tea is a refreshing drink on it’s own, but shouldn’t be combined with food.
Also after having food it is not advisable to drink iced drink. This is because when taking icy drink with food it will solidify the oil staff in the blood vessel. It is best to take warm water after food or the warm tea.

PostHeaderIcon Do You Know About the Caffeine in Green Tea?

The caffeine in green tea is less than what you will find in an equal cup of coffee.  But to those that are sensitive to the stimulant, you still need to be aware that each 8 ounce cup contains between 10mg and 40mg of caffeine.

The variation has to do with the age of the leaves, when they are harvested from the plant and even their position on the plant.  Most companies give you an â??averageâ? content, if they list the content, at all.  Steep time also affects the caffeine-content.  Longer steeps give you a richer flavor, but they also give you more of the stimulant.

As far as the bottled beverages go, the average caffeine-content is very low, around 10mg per bottle.  But, the actual amount of green tea in those bottles is also very low.  Many companies add sugar, artificial flavors and colors.  They donâ??t use much of the actual plant.

So, if what you want are the health benefits, without worrying about the caffeine in green tea, the best choice is a good supplement.  The supplements contain the extracts, which provide the antioxidants known as catechins.

Catechins are unique to the camellia sinensis plant (from which both black and green teas are derived) and some cocoa plants.  If youâ??ve seen the claim about how chocolate is supposed to be good for your health, the companies are basing those claims on the catechin-content of the cocoa.  Whether or not a chocolate bar would actually be rich in catechins is really anybodyâ??s guess.

The companies are not required to measure the amount that is present or list it on the label.  If youâ??re worried about the caffeine in green tea, you should know that the stimulant is also found in chocolates.  The plants produce it as an insect repellant.

How many catechins are needed to help prevent heart disease and cancer?  The amount varies depending on your age and the current state of your health.  One of the naturopathic doctors that I trust recommends a 60mg extract, which provides 48mg of catechins.  He also recommends a variety of other supplements.

The best daily supplement that I have found provides essential vitamins and minerals, as well as herbal extracts, amino acids and lots of natural antioxidants.  Many of them have an anti-inflammatory effect.  Thatâ??s important because chronic inflammation has been linked to a number of age-related diseases, including heart disease and cancer.

As for the caffeine in green tea extracts, the better extracts contain only trace amounts, 1 or 2mg at most.  A little bit of caffeine is actually good for your long-term health.

In a recent study, researchers found a decreased incidence of Alzheimerâ??s among regular tea and coffee drinkers.  Just donâ??t go overboard.  If you exceed 500mg per day, you will start to notice nervousness, anxiety and other health problems.

Now that youâ??ve learned about the caffeine in green tea, I would suggest that you learn more about the causes of aging.  You can keep your body young and healthy, with the right supplementation. If you have two minutes to spare, please take a look at my website now.

PostHeaderIcon Are Green Tea Pills Just as Effective as Drinking Green Tea?

There has been a lot of news coverage lately about the benefits of drinking green tea. It seems that every time you turn around you see more reasons why you should be adding it to your daily diet. But can you get the same health benefits of green tea from green tea pills?

To answer that question, we first need to look at some of the benefits that you can receive. Many studies have been conducted investigating the health benefits that this herb provides. The Chinese have been consuming it for centuries. Now the rest of the world is finally learning how beneficial this beverage is.

  • In a study conducted in 2005, it was shown to boost endurance exercise performance and to increase the use of fatty acids in the body to fuel activity. In other words, green tea was shown to help you exercise for longer periods, because you were using up fatty tissues in your body.

  • Another study conducted showed that a component of this herb could stop HIV from binding to healthy immune cells in the body. HIV spreads throughout the body by joining with healthy immune cells. This discovery indicates that green tea could play a role in fighting HIV (although drinking the tea alone is not enough to stop the spread of the infection, the researchers caution).

  • The anti-bacterial properties have been shown to fight the formation of dental plaque. These same anti-bacterial properties also help to prevent food poisoning.

These are only a few of the benefits. There have also been studies to indicate that it is helpful in fighting cancer cells and other illness.

You do not have to consume two or three cups of tea each day to receive the health benefits of green tea. By taking green tea pills (containing the extract) instead, you will be able to consume the optimal amount easily and conveniently. Also, it’s been proven that the active ingredients in the extract are more highly concentrated than in a cup of tea.

PostHeaderIcon Green Tea and Health Benefits You Should Know

So, is there a case to answer for? This article will look into just some of the supposed benefits that have caused a stir. Tea has been drunk for over 4,000 years and is now the second most consumed drink worldwide, available in numerous blends and flavors. One chief benefit that countless researchers have discovered is in it’s antioxidant properties.

We hear so often about the damage our body cells suffer as a result of damage caused by free-radicals, and how any food or drink with ingredients that act as an antioxidant, are worth taking as part of our daily diet. Green tea fits the bill perfectly as it has a high amount of an antioxidant called Catechins which some research has indicated could reduce the risks of getting strokes, diabetes and even heart disease.

Admirable stuff, and on top of that my own quick research on the internet which I did after hearing about this, produced some interesting details. It was from a Dutch study into drinking tea and the incidence of heart attacks amongst a study group. Their conclusion and findings claimed that there’s a protective effect amongst the group members who drank tea.

But, I had also always been aware of drinks like tea do contain caffeine, and indeed they do but apparently only half as much as drinks like coffee.

In addition, we’re increasingly opting for non-caffeine drinks and decaffeinated teas are readily available. So, as I take nutritional supplements I was intrigued to uncover a high quality product that includes a green tea extract, convenient and simpler for me as I’m often out of the house all day.

This is the easiest way to ensure you’re getting the right amount of green tea and health benefits too.

PostHeaderIcon Info on Green Tea Capsules and the Benefits of Green Tea Extract

Green tea capsules are one of the many forms you can purchase to utilize the benefits of green tea extract. The medicinal qualities of green tea have been well known in Asia for centuries.

The Chinese know green tea capsules can heal many ailments from headaches, to depression to heart disease, and even cancer. For example letâ??s look at cervical cancer in women. Cervical cancer is the second most common type of cancer that affects the female reproductive system. It usually occurs in women between the ages of 40 to 55, but it can also occur in younger and older women.

The benefits of green tea extract come from the compound EGCG, which is a powerful antioxidant. EGCG is over 200 times more powerful than vitamin E in fighting free radicals and pro-oxidants. What this means for the woman with cervical cancer is she will have the chance to kill the cervical cancer cells without harming the healthy cells.

I would certainly be for taking green tea capsules if one of my pap smears came back and showed precancerous cells. In fact because it lowers my risk for getting cervical cancer, I make sure the supplement I take includes green tea extract in it.

Since, there are many ways to get the benefits of green tea extract, taking a supplement that includes it is one of the wise choices a person can make. Taking green tea capsules alone is a good choice, but I believe the best choice is taking a supplement that includes other great nutrients like ginkgo biloba extract, Coenzyme Q10, amino acids, essential minerals, vitamins, SAMe, and others.

These nutrients work in synergy when you take them together. Youâ??ll spend far less than if you bought each supplement separately. Check out my web site for information on nutritional supplements. Youâ??ll find a wealth of facts there along with where you can purchase supplements that have all the above nutrients in them in one formula. It sure beats having 10 or more bottles to mess with.

PostHeaderIcon Green Tea Capsules – Discover the Secret Behind Why More and More People are Taking Them

Have you read about this recently? It seems more and more people are becoming aware of the major health benefits of green tea extract to be found in green tea capsules.

Many studies have shown what a tremendously positive impact taking green tea capsules can have, especially if taken as a combined health supplement.

First and foremost they are proven to reduce the risk of cancer. Now that’s pretty huge in itself! It is thought that an ingredient in the tea called EGCG prevents cancer cells from growing by binding to a specific enzyme. EGEC is a powerful antioxidant, which is more than 100 times more powerful than vitamin C, one of the most spectacular benefits of green tea extract.

Many other benefits of taking green tea capsules include lowering of cholesterol, boosting the immune system and helping with weight loss by naturally raising your metabolism. Quite an impressive list and more health giving attributes are being found all the time.

Taking green tea capsules instead of drinking the actual tea is becoming more and more common. One of the main reasons for this is that the pills are decaffeinated. This means you can get all the associated health benefits of green tea extract, without any of the worry over the side effects of caffeine. This is especially vital if you have a low tolerance to caffeine, even in low doses.

The capsules generally contain the daily equivalent of 4 â?? 5 cups of green tea. That’s quite a lot to drink, especially if you find the bitter taste a challenge in the first place!

One very important thing to bear in mind is that it is far more effective to take a combined supplement as opposed to only green tea capsules. The reason behind this is something called synergy. This is where the different ingredients react with each other to produce a much greater effect than they would have done taken separately.

You don’t want to get the benefits of green tea extract as a stand alone, you actually want to take it in a quality product that has many ingredients in it that work synergistically with each other.

If you would like to learn more about the products which I personally take, visit my website today.

PostHeaderIcon Green Tea Dosage - How Much for Vibrant Health?

By now you have probably heard a great deal about the health benefits of drinking green tea. It has been shown in numerous studies to help fight everything from tooth decay to cancer to food poisoning. But what is the correct green tea dosage? How can you get all of the benefits if you do not know how much you should consume?

Many studies have been shown that the optimum benefits are found when people consume between three and ten cups per day. Three cups a day is about average in most Asian countries; however, some studies have shown that much higher amounts are needed to get maximum benefits.

For some of us, even drinking 3 cups of green tea per day would be difficult. This is especially true if you are not used to drinking tea or if you do not care for the taste. Some people find that they can only consume this much tea if they add large amounts of sugar or artificial sweeteners. Adding extra calories or chemical sweeteners can reduce or eliminate the health benefits that you would normally get.

Other people find that it is simply too time consuming to drink that many cups of tea. It is inconvenient to brew tea at work when you only have 30 minutes to eat lunch. And the same goes for breakfast; mornings are hectic and there’s little time to sit quietly sitting a cup of tea.

The solution is to take a green tea extract in a supplement instead of trying to drink cup after cup. Capsules deliver the equivalent of three or more cups in one convenient dose. Simply carry the capsules with you and take them wherever you are.

What is the correct green tea dosage? Anywhere from three to ten cups per day - which is very easy to achieve when you use a supplement.

PostHeaderIcon Green Tea Extract - 5 Big Reasons to Use it

It seems like every time you turn your head nowadays, someone is extolling the benefits of green tea! So how true is this and what about the benefits of a green tea extract?

Well the good news is it’s all true. The benefits of green tea and green tea extract have been proven to be an extremely valuable tool in the prevention of many diseases, including cancer.

Here are the five main reasons to use this amazing extract:

Powerful Immune System Booster

It has been used in Chinese medicine for over four thousand years, and is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants help prevent the damage done by free radicals, which in turns helps against the aging process.

A green tea extract is a rich source of EGCG (an antioxidant), that is over 100 times more powerful than vitamin C and 20 times more potent than vitamin E.  This will help you fight off the more common ailments like cold and flu much more easily.

The EGCG can protect against a wide range of infections including respiratory and digestive infections, and is anti-bacterial.

Prevention of Cancer

Green tea prevents the growth of cancer cells.

The EGCG in green tea prevents cancer cells from growing by binding to a specific enzyme. This is one of the health benefits of green tea that is especially important in cancers of the prostate, breast, and lung.

Assists Weight Loss

It is also used for dieting purposes, as it can act as a fat burner by naturally boosting the metabolism. This is an excellent way to help you lose weight naturally.

Lowers Cholesterol Levels

It has been proven to lower cholesterol levels significantly. Research shows that green tea extract lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and maintains HDL (good) cholesterol in both animals and people. A recent study has shown that people with a high cholesterol level who regularly took green tea had significantly lower levels of cholesterol.

Slows the Aging Process

Recent studies have shown that the benefits of green tea’s powerful combination of biological compounds, called polyphenols, are very effective at destroying free radicals which can help reverse the aging process.

Another benefit of taking a green tea extract is that they don’t contain caffeine, so you don’t have to worry about any caffeine side effects.

Many experts and scientists now agree that to gain the maximum benefit, it is better to take a blend of vitamins, minerals and herbs as many of these work synergistically together. That basically means that the individual ingredients in a blend will work more effectively when combined together. For example, green tea works together with ginger and olive leaf to help lower cholesterol.

So there you have it, some useful info about green tea extract for which I hope will prove beneficial to you. If you would like to learn more about the products which I personally take, visit my website today.
