Burn Excess Fat Green Tea Weight Loss

With the boom of herbal products in the last decade or so, one of the most popular products has been green tea but did you know you could use green tea for weight loss? Theres been a lot of talk about reasons to use green tea to help improve your health, but a lesser-known fact is that is that green tea can help you burn calories, as well. Before you decide to stop your diet and quit exercising, you must realize that green tea is merely an aid for weight loss.

Green tea is a weight loss aid, but its merely meant to help you shed pounds its not going to do all the work for you. So how can green tea help you lose weight? Its pretty simple, really: green tea contains caffeine. As a stimulant, caffeine naturally helps you burn extra calories. The thing is, most drinks that contain caffeine are full of calories of their own, too.

Coffee, soda, and energy drinks are never going to help you lose weight, because theyre filling your body up with fat and calories along with the caffeine content. Again, its key to remember that green tea is just a little boost, in the neighborhood of an extra 70 to 80 calories burned per day. That number much is less than the amount of calories in a single serving of soda or coffee.

One thing that gives green tea weight loss an advantage is the compound called epigallocatechin gallate, commonly known as ECCG. The ECCG in green tea increases the effectiveness of the caffeine, leading to a greater amount of calories burned. Along with the fewer calories contained in a serving of green tea, this means the caffeine in green tea can help you lose weight where it would not if you got it from soda or coffee.

It cant be stressed enough that green tea is just a small ally in the war against fat. If you were to lose 80 extra calories per day, that only adds up to about 8 pounds lost in a year, uming you made no other dietary or exercise changes. If you want to shed pounds quickly, green tea can help, but its not the answer.

The good news is drinking green tea does more than just help you lose weight. As an antioxidant, green tea provides a number of benefits to your cardiovascular health this means green tea can help reduce the risk of heart problems. Green tea can also help improve your metabolism and control your cholesterol level, and some claim that it can help your mental focus, as well.

Replacing your daily coffee intake with green tea can be a great way to help lose weight and improve general health. Youre replacing all the calories and chemicals found in coffee with pure herbal tea. This change can help make you feel healthier in months, and experience the effects of green tea weight loss at the same time.

PostHeaderIcon Beauty & Skin Care — A Chinese Herbal Prescription (13)

BEAUTY & SKIN CARE - - A Chinese herbal prescription.
Skin care should not be tied to beauty only. It should be viewed as a health practice. The skin is a very important tissue that envelops and protects your body. If not attended to, irritating conditions may arise such as dryness, peeling, itch, pimples, mouth sores, and small eruptions, etc., which may develop into bigger problems like rashes lasting for months or even years. If the skin is well taken care of, the hair and the nails will be as well for they are real extensions of the skin.

The Chinese approach connects skin problems to “excess heat” in the blood, which means several things including:
• Too much spicy, barbecued, deep fried, or greasy food.
• Too much shellfish such as crabs, clams, mussels, oysters, etc.
• Not enough sleep, or going to bed too late.
• Not enough rest causing an overactive liver.
• Toxins in blood due to unhealthy eating or environment.
• Not enough fluid consumed everyday.
• Not eating the right kind of food such as vegetables and fruits to nourish or moisturize the skin.

If you come from a different culture, some of the causes mentioned above do not seem to have obvious reasons. I’ll try to explain more in another video. Nevertheless, those reasons are validated everyday by observing the habits of those suffering from dry skin and ociated problems.

Nature of skin problems:
• Skin problems may not be limited to just one location. They can move to other parts of the body since they are related to blood.
• Minor problems are easier to treat with diet or habit change.
• When a major skin problem has developed, it will remain a long-term irritation with periodic flare-ups triggered by the above-listed causes.
• You cannot expect fast cure from a major skin problem. You can only look for steady improvements in the form of intensity, duration, and frequency of flare-ups.
• If the problem does not spread to a new location, and the old location is being replaced by newer skin, it will definitely be a good improvement.

External treatment:
• Skin care is a multi-billion dollar business with countless products and services for external treatment.
• Surgery and other advanced treatments are becoming popular too.
• You have to find the right kind of product or service suitable for your skin.

Internal treatment:
The Chinese approach, basically, is to nourish and detoxify the blood, calm the liver, moisturize and nourish the skin:
1) Nourish blood
Dan Shen ??
He Shou Wu ???
2) Detoxify blood
Xian He Cao ???
Bai Hua She Cao ????
3) Calm liver
Bai Shao ??
Jin Yin Hua ???
Huang Qin ??
4) Moisturize skin
Mai Men Dong ???
Xuan Shen ??
5) Nourish skin
Yu Zhu ??
Sha Shen ??
A combination of 11 herbs is recommended.

Drink one cup (8 oz) or two of herb tea a day, morning and night.

This is just one formula with countless variations depending on:
* How bad is the skin problem and where.
* Do you make an effort for diet or habit change.
* How sensitive is your body to herb package.

Ching He-Huang/Great Wall of China green tea ice cream with candied walnuts

Ingredients

For the ice cream

* 6 tbsp longjing tea leaves, or other green tea leaves, roughly chopped
* 900ml double cream
* 100g caster sugar

For the candied walnuts

* 210g walnut halves
* 450g golden syrup
* 2 tbsp light brown sugar

To decorate

* sprigs Mint
* frosted cornflakes, roughly crushed
* icing sugar

Method
1. For the ice cream: place the tea leaves, cream and caster sugar in a pan and place over a medium heat. Heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, or until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

2. Once cooled, transfer the mixture to an ice-cream machine and follow the manufacturers instructions to make ice cream, then transfer to the freezer. Remove five minutes before serving.

3. Preheat the oven to 200C/Gas 6.

4. For the candied walnuts: heat a clean frying pan and dry-toast the walnuts, tossing the pan frequently to prevent burning, for about one minute, or until the walnuts are golden. Add the golden syrup and warm through, stirring to coat the walnuts in the syrup. Remove from the heat.

5. Line a roasting tin with greaseproof paper, pour over the walnuts and syrup mixture and sprinkle over the brown sugar. Place into the oven for 3-4 minutes, or until the brown sugar has melted. Remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly.

6. Divide a large round plate into three sections imagine three lines leading from the rim of the plate all meeting in the centre. Starting from the centre of the plate and using chopsticks or wetted fingers, place four or five pieces of candied walnut along each line, then top with three or four, then two or three, and so forth, so that the wall becomes lower as you reach the edge of the plate.

7. Place a generous scoop of ice cream in each of the three sections between the walls and decorate the peaks of the ice cream with mint sprigs. Sprinkle over some crushed cornflakes, dust with icing sugar and serve immediately.

Did you known:
The Secret Ingredient in Tea is .Catechins, a type of disease-fighting flavonoid and antioxidant, are the keys to tea’s health benefits.
White tea has less caffeine and has tons of antioxidant. White tea is the crème de la crème, and the taste is divine. It has a light, delicate, sweet and silky flavor that does overwhelm the tongue. The taste is nutty and almost creamy. The tea is good for your teeth and smile. It contains small amounts of fluoride and nutrients that help prevent the growth of plague, the main cause of teeth decay. So if youre having lunch make sure that you sip away with some delicious white tea.

Green tea has less caffeine and has tons of antioxidant. Green tea taste more like fresh leaves. Green Tea helps to block the growth of substances that cause cancer. Green tea can be drunk to help to prevent diabetes. As well as protect you from food poisoning. So when your home on a raining day bur up some fresh green tea.

Black tea is high in caffeine. But still has antioxidant, just not quite as much as others. So if you have to stay up to study for a finial then drink up some hot black tea to get that energy boost.
